Artist's Comments

Venice, Italy.

I officially fell in love with this city. It really is gorgeous. I'm also pretty satisfied with this photograph. However, I'm always open for suggestions and helpful advice.

Do you think it would look good in b&w?

When I came across this picture while browsing I just stopped... I clicked on it and zoomed in and everything. It is simply captivating. Such a sharp and crisp picture, so much colour and detail, perfectly captured in one photograph. It looks like the clouds are following the river. The curve on the picture just leads the eye into the picture, and allows us to follow and try and go around that corner to see more.

A most delightful and calming picture, I had to critique.

A well deserved Daily Deviation, an absolute masterpiece that I think everyone must look at!

Amazing picture, its very captivating and mesmerizing, Venice is a beautiful city. The sky looks amazing and it brings out the color of the buildings and the water. This is a great picture, its a great shot of the city on the sides and the water way down the middle, it gives the effect of wanting to follow the waterway to where it ends. As for it in black and white, it might look good with the right effects, but it also might kill the effect of the colors in the picture, thats the thing about greyscale effects, its a double-edged sword.

Amazing picture, keep up the great photos, you're a great photographer.

Lovely picture! when I was in Venice I actually took a picture at the same spot, only it was about 3pm (so I was starving and dehydrating) and I took the picture with my cell-phone (all these factors result in a much lousier picture... hehe).
And I must say, I fell inlove with Venice too... I think you've captured a part of it's magic in that picture :)
:iconan3czka:
Did you also like the city? :D

I think it might look nice in black and white, but the colours really make the picture!
Great shot! :)

Thank you for this lovely comment! Yeah, it was made from this big bridge near Piazza San Marco. This was a very suitable place to take photos. Many people did :aww:
I'm glad to find another big fan of this place!

Yeah, I was wondering If without colours it would still look good. But I agree that colours play an important role in this picture
Thanks for your feedback :aww:

I wasn't there very long, but I liked the little restaurant I was in. ^^

 I've always been afraid... Always been pretending to follow you closely, always pretending to sharpen my fangs, when the truth is... I'm scared to death just treading on your shadow.

No no, no b/w. :aww:

It's too pretty in colors, and the tones are really well balanced. It would be a shame not to show them.
